THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM THROUGH THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS HAS NOW PROPOSED LAW THAT WOULD PUT BANKS AND CREDIT UNIONS ON DIFFERENT LENDING STANDARDS THAN MORTGAGE BROKERS. THIS PROPOSAL WOULD ONLY SERVE TO CONFUSE THE PUBLIC WHEN CHOOSING THE RIGHT MORTGAGE. WE BELIEVE THAT ALL ORIGINATORS SHOULD ADHERE TO THE SAME SET OF LENDING STANDARDS. DON'T LET THE BANKS, CREDIT UNIONS AND LOBBYISTS APPLY "THE GOLDEN RULE"(THOSE WHO HAVE THE GOLD MAKE THE RULES). DECREASING YOUR FINANCING OPTIONS WILL ONLY LEAD TO INCREASED COSTS TO THE CONSUMER.
