Gary Heinecke is always in the consumer's corner and will fight for what's right. On the big Idea Gary asked Congresswoman Waters just how mainstream America had been protected by their "TARP Bailout". Monies that were supposed to be used to help mainstream is still not even helping the American public. It seems that the little guy and middle class will slowly disappear. Instead of tightening FNMA and FHLMCC guidelines the gov't should be freeing up lending opportunites for not only those who fell into trouble but for those who have been responsible borrowers as well. On September 30, 2008 Congress enacted a rule that was adopted through FNMA and FHLMCC which prohibited a homeowner from qualifying for a new mortgage unless their current residence had at least THIRTY PERCENT EQUITY. The way they calculate this is purely subjective and unfair as well. We started building a home in March or April of 2008 and were planning on renting our home out. The new rule required that borrowers qualify with both mortgages.We were unable to use any rental income whatsoever from the property that we were leaving. We were told by Countrywide that if we pay off our other debt and qualify this way that they would approve this loan. We did just that so would be able to move into our new home. Gary also thought that this would increase our credit scores and help lower our rate.  They did go up quite a bit! In addition the mortgage insurance would be substantially less. We followed this advice to the tee and wouldn't you know it THAT COUNTRYWIDE(aka BANK OF AMERICA) decided to make their own NEW Ruling that we had to have six months reserve. We have contacted Senator Graham's Office and Bob Inglis and asked them for help. It just doesn't seem right to give banks anymore bailout money when they have been given BILLIONS already and then invest in China instead of America!!!  Gary is still working with us regardless of this nonsense and the never ending politics and is still trying to get us in our home as scheduled for the hollidays. He truly is a dedicated and caring professional and we will continue to refer Gary and MGM Financial Corporation any day, anytime.
